Restrictions on private travel
Please remind your clients that certain limitations apply to private travel and incidental private travel under the DUAL Corporate Travel Policy. At DUAL we do not apply a business vs private travel threshold*. Instead, limitations are included within the cover.
Key limitations include (but are not limited to):
- Loss of deposits, cancellation, and curtailment: Sub-limit of $5,000 per person and $20,000 any one event.
- Maximum travel duration: Limited to 28 days unless agreed by us in writing and endorsed to the policy.
- In the event of a claim for incidental private travel where the trip exceeds 28 days duration, the insured must provide evidence of the business travel component (eg. itineraries, meeting confirmations). Remote working does not meet the criteria of business travel.
- Geographic scope: Limited to interstate and overseas only.
- Eligible persons: Cover may include the insured’s directors, CEO, CFO/CFC, COO, GM and Company Secretary (and no other substituted person) and business owner and partner of the insured including any accompanying spouse and/or dependent child(ren).
Skiing and cruising coverage update
Good news for your clients: under the DUAL Corporate Travel Policy, skiing and cruising activities do not need to be declared separately.
This means:
- Skiing holidays and cruise trips are automatically included within declaration provided to us
- Additional endorsements or declarations are only required where there are hazardous activities to be undertaken for example off piste and heli skiing
- Clients can enjoy peace of mind knowing these popular holiday activities are supported under their corporate travel insurance
Need more flexibility? Contact us today
