Leading with vision, driving success

Olaf was appointed CEO, DUAL Europe in 2022 and is responsible for leading DUAL Europe’s management and underwriting teams’ growth and profitability, along with driving strategic vision across 12 countries. Olaf is also a member of the DUAL Group Executive Committee. He joined DUAL in 2011 as an underwriter and held several roles, including Head of Underwriting, before he was appointed MD of DUAL Deutschland in 2019. Olaf started his insurance career with DBV (now AXA) in 2002, and also worked at Creditreform responsible for rating companies. Olaf studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.

Maria brings a wealth of experience from her diverse career, having worked with brokers such as Aon and Marsh, and global insurers including AIG. Most recently, she held a key role at QBE as Europe Deputy Underwriting Manager and Head of Financial Lines.
She joined DUAL Europe as CUO in September 2024.

Peer Christian Dagne was appointed Chief Financial Officer Europe in 2026 and is based in Cologne. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Economics and brings more than 17 years of experience across various international finance functions.
Peer joined DUAL in March 2020 as Head of Controlling and Reporting for the DACH region, before becoming part of the European Finance Team in January 2023. His extensive background in financial management and his international expertise support DUAL Europe’s commitment to robust financial governance and sustainable growth.

Mike Higgins was appointed COO, DUAL Europe in 2025 and is responsible for DUAL Europe’s Technology, Operations and Change functions. He joined DUAL in London in 2014 and progressed through a number of operational roles, ultimately becoming Deputy COO for DUAL UK, before moving to DUAL Europe in 2024.
His deep operational expertise and long-standing experience within the DUAL Group support DUAL Europe’s commitment to delivering efficient processes, continuous improvement and scalable capabilities across the region.

Bunty Aranja Soni is Chief Business Officer for DUAL Europe, focused on scaling new and priority product lines across markets through strategy, delivery and data-led insight, while coordinating group-wide product and capacity execution.
Bunty joined Howden Group in April 2017 as a Broker, before moving into innovation leadership roles across the Group. From 2018 to 2023, he shaped and delivered Howden’s innovation agenda globally, including building digitally-enabled distribution and platform capabilities to accelerate growth as Group Head of Innovation. He joined DUAL Group in 2024 to work on new initiatives, leading the development and execution of new market opportunities, and was appointed Chief Business Officer in 2026. Bunty holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.

Sonia has over 19 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined DUAL in 2023. As a member of the European executive team, she is responsible for overseeing the risk and compliance functions across Europe.
Sonia studied Law at the Sorbonne University in Paris and is a qualified lawyer. She began her insurance career with the ACPR (French insurance regulator) in 2005, and later worked at the FFA (French Insurance Association) in 2008. Subsequently, she moved to Luxembourg, where she worked for both life and non-life insurance companies.
Her deep understanding of European insurance regulation and her extensive background in the industry supports DUAL's commitment to maintaining high standards in risk management and compliance.

Martin is a member of the European executive team and oversees the legal function across Europe. He joined DUAL in 2023, after 5 years at the Ardonagh Group and 8 years at international law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright where he specialised in insurance law.

Based in London, in his spare time Martin enjoys reading, cooking, electronic music and sports.

Catherine joined DUAL in January 2024 and is responsible for the pricing and reserving across the UK and Europe. Catherine previously worked as the Chief Risk Officer in MS Amlin’s reinsurance entity based in Switzerland and Bermuda before returning to London to take up the same role at IQUW, a Lloyd’s managing agency.

Journalist and communication consultant with over 15 years’ experience, Diana Pastarini joined DUAL Italia in 2014. Responsible for marketing strategy, internal and external communications, media relations, she also manages corporate social responsibility initiatives, volunteering programs and D&I awareness.

In 2022, she was appointed Head of Marketing, DUAL Europe.

Natalia is Head of HR for DUAL Europe, and joined the company in 2023. She holds 18 years of experience in HR across a number of industries, and geographies, with core focus on talent development and rewards areas. Outside work, Natalia trains multi-sport and enjoys time with her family.
