Fair Value Assessments

Following the FCA’s Policy Statement PS25/21, which removed the prescriptive requirement for mandatory annual product reviews, DUAL intends to adopt a risk‑based approach to the Fair Value Assessment (“FVA”) review cycle, proportionate to each product’s characteristics and its potential to cause foreseeable harm to customers.

Work is currently underway to finalise the revised FVA review schedule. Once approved by the Board, the schedule will be implemented, published and communicated (currently expect by the end of July 2026).

To ensure continuity and minimise disruption to distribution arrangements during this transitional period, existing FVAs will be treated as remaining valid for the purposes of PROD 4.3, and distributors of DUAL products may continue to rely on them until the revised schedule takes effect.
